From the prophet Isaiah chapter 43, verse 18:

The Lord days ‘Do not cling to events of the past or dwell on what happened long ago. Watch for the new thing I am going to do. I will make a road through the wilderness and give you streams of water there’.

This is the time to be slow

Lie low to the wall

Until the bitter weather passes

Try as best you can, not to let

The wire brush of doubt

Scrape from your heart

All sense of yourself

And your hesitant light.

If you remain generous, time will come good; And you will find your feet again on fresh pastures of promise, where the air will be kind, And blushed with beginning ~ John O’Donohue

For God’s Guidance

Heavenly Father, in you I live and move and have my being: I humbly pray you so to guide and govern me by your Holy Spirit, that in all the cares and occupations of my life I may not forget you, but may remember that I am ever walking in your sight; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Thanks for the Gifts of This Life

O God, I thank You for this day of life for eyes to see the sky
for ears to hear the birds
for feet to walk amidst the trees
for hands to pick the flowers from the earth
for a sense of smell to breathe in the sweet
perfumes of nature
for a mind to think about and appreciate
the magic of everyday miracles
for a spirit to swell in joy at Your mighty presence
everywhere. Amen. ~ Marian Wright Edelman

Dedication

Walk with me, dear Lord, so that I may not be alone as I face this day, but always in your presence. Your joy is a lighthouse in a world often dark with sin, and I pray that I may reflect the light of your truth, to inspire others as I have been inspired. In the name of Christ, bless me this day, and all whom I may meet. Amen.

Working for God’s kingdom

Lord Jesus, give us the grace to hear your voice,

And the strength to continue working for your kingdom in this time of pandemic.

Do not allow us to be indifferent to those who today suffer the loss of a loved one, or who suffer from the absence of work.

But give us the courage to accompany and side with those who suffer violence or injustice. Amen. ~ Javier Eduardo Martinez Rueda from Colombia.
