Sunday Update – 23 June 2024

The Service today included The Sacrament of Holy Communion. For the first time the use of the common cup was offered as an option to the congregation. I am sure Andrea would welcome any feedback on the ‘inclusive gathering’ use of the cup.
Sunday 23 June also saw the end of the ‘Refugee Festival Scotland’, and today’s sermon focussed our minds on the conditions for, and myths around, refugees in our world today. The sermon encouraged us all to think on the small steps we can take to help ensure the plight of refugees is recognised. On this sunny afternoon, some from our congregation also attended the Peace Service held in the Peace Garden at Forthview Parish Church Dalgety.
